HEALTHY IS PRICELESS - KESIHATAN TIDAK TERNILAI HARGANYA

kata orang tua-tua....
jaga kesihatan.....nanti sakit ...susah...
jangan kerja terlalu berlebih-lebih....nanti jatuh sakit...

Itulah kata-kata mak,

saiz badan ku teramat kecil...cerita orang tua2 sebesar botol kicap 'cap tamin' tu je...
akupun bersalin di rumah tanpa bidan...mak aku sendirian .....
tapi Alhamdulillah....semuanya selamat...'miracle' but 'possible'.

saiz ku kecil sebesar tapak tangan pak wan ku....(kata pak wan/ jiran sebelah/ tok angkat)
sapu tangan dijadikan kain buaianku.....

KESANNYA SEKARANG...

This is a rare condition which has been linked to a genetic abnormality and it is being more readily diagnosed by the medical profession in the UK. Symptoms include temporary paralysis down one side of the body, which can last for several days. Other symptoms include vertigo or difficulty walking, double vision or blindness, hearing impairment, numbness around the mouth leading to trouble speaking or swallowing. These symptoms are often associated with a severe one-sided headache. This form of migraine may be confused with a stroke, but the effects are usually fully reversible and there are specific treatments available

What causes the symptoms of hemiplegic migraine?
Migraine is believed to be caused by the release of a chemical called serotonin or 5HT into the bloodstream from its storage sites in the body, resulting in changes in the neurotransmitters and blood vessels in the brain. Exactly what causes this to happen is a subject for research and debate; however, due to these irregular changes, temporary paralysis is known to present during some migraine attacks.
There are two types of hemiplegic migraine:
Familial hemiplegic migraine is where migraine attacks occur in two or more people in the same family and every individual experiences weakness on one side of the body as a symptom with their migraine. Sporadic hemiplegic migraine is where someone experiences all the physical symptoms of familial hemiplegic migraine but doesn't have a known connection within their family. The cause of this type of hemiplegic migraine is unknown; some are due to new or so called 'sporadic' gene mutations.

LEFT HEMIPLEGIC MIGRAINE : COMPLICATED MIGRAINE

Sekarang aku sedang meneroka maklumat mengenai LHM.

What is hemiplegic migraine?
Hemiplegic migraine is referred to as a “migraine variant”. The word hemiplegic simply means paralysis on one side of the body. A person with hemiplegic migraine will experience a temporary weakness on one side of their body as part of their migraine attack. This can involve the face, arm or leg and be accompanied by numbness, or pins and needles. If the right side is affected the person may experience speech difficulties, vision problems or confusion. This can be a frightening experience for the individual as these symptoms are similar to those of a stroke. This weakness may last from one hour to several days, but usually it goes within 24 hours. The head pain associated with migraine typically follows the weakness, but the headache may precede it or be absent.

What causes the symptoms of hemiplegic migraine?
To understand this, it is important to look at the mechanism of hemiplegic migraine. The brain and nervous system depend on a combination of electrical and chemical signals to function. When a nerve impulse (electrical) of sufficient strength passes down from one nerve cell towards another, it opens a so-called ‘channel’ which acts like a ‘gate’. This process releases neurotransmitters (or chemical messengers) which contact the neighbouring cells and tell them how to respond. If a channel in the brain is not working properly, neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, may be released in an abnormal way. In the case of hemiplegic migraine, the way the channel dysfunctions is known to have a role in the condition.
